If your going through Hell

Pretty much the best run I have been on in a long time today. 6 miles. I made a playlist for my new run and put it on random. A song came on and it was pretty much the story of my life. I have always loved the song but never really listened to the words. It was amazing. Anyway, every song came on at the perfect time during the run. It was crazy. I was headed up my last hill, which happens to be the longest one within the run. Right as I started up the hill the song If your going through hell - Rodney Atkins came on. Perfect " Things go from bad to worse you think they cant get worse and then they do... If your going through hell keep on going, dont slow down..." It was a beautiful day for a long run. I loved every minute of it. Some call me crazy!

Relax + Bargin = My day

So today pretty much was one of the best days ever!
I had my first full day at work. I get there at 8:30am and my trainer says " Are you ready for your 75 minute Hot Stone massage?" What do you say to that?! OF COURSE!! Who knew I would be getting paid to do this! Then I work on the Spa director, which was a great experience. Lunch for an hour. Give Childcare director a massage, again another great experience. So I have one hour left and I thought it was just going to be more training on other little things but a therapist stops by my room as I am cleaning the table and says " When your done dressing the table let me know, I will be giving you an Aromatherapy massage. Ok!?" Again... what do you say to that?! Then my day was done... I went down to the locker room, grabbed my stuff and clocked out! I was completely relaxed. When I got home about half hour later I had a lot of energy so I went on my usual 5 mile run. Half way through though my Ipod died. I forgot to charge it. That was the only downer of my day. I then wanted to go shoe shopping. I had a pair in mind to be able to work in and be comfortable. I found some, exact one I was looking for. But I thought I would keep looking for a better deal. Ends up that I bought 4 pairs of shoes for the exact same price that the other perfect pair were for. Love them all! All were needed of course! =)

Late night with Mogs

Morgan ( my 7 year old sister ) came into my room last night and wanted to sleep with me... mind you, I dont have my room from when I was in high school... the nice queen size bed and all... I have the good old twin setup in the bonus room. So I told her, you know Morgan that is just not going to work out! She said ok then lets just play until we get tired cause no school tomorrow. So I asked her what she wanted to do and she grabbed my camera from my desk and said lets take lots of silly pictures. She is the funnest things ever... my mom heard us... apparently Morgan was suppose to be in bed at 8:30pm, school or no school, she still has a bed time. How was I suppose to know?! So here are just a few of the many shots from last night.

When all is said and done, I love my family. Its been good to be back home.

BEAT LA!!!

Tuesday night, Blazers Vs Lakers. I was ecstatic for the whole night and even into Wednesday... not to mention Free Chalupas!!! I am a sucker for basketball. What can I say but thanks to Brent (the man that is married to the whole blazer team and forever will be a season ticket holder and inviting me to opening night next year and every home game... his wife and kids will understand or else!) jk... except for the opening night thing... and how he is practically married to the blazers!

Other than that.. I finally got a job. Starting next week full time doing what I absolutely love - Massage Therapy. Hopefully with this experience sometime in the next couple of years I will jump on with Nike headquarters here in Portland and possibly travel with them. Dream come true.

Some peoples kids

So there we were having a BBQ in our backyard with two other families. Mind you all the husbands are out of town so its 3 moms and myself with 7 kids under the age of 7. Don't get me wrong, I adore kids! I just realized tonight that this is the perfect birth control though. Other peoples kids! I mean picture it. Me on one end of the table and all the kids at the other end. We are trying to say prayer and all the kids decide to do this face and scream -

I could have died. Some kids were crying and some were throwing things all around and some were just making this face and screaming. Finally, we were done with prayer. But some don't want the mac and cheese, some want hot dogs, other want hamburgers but then after the first bite they want chicken... they don't want to eat the broccoli or pasta salad... "I'M THIRSTY" "I'M STILL HUNGRY" When does it all end I'm thinking. Eat your food!

But here is the best part of it all. One mom just about had it with her son having his hands down his pants. ( I think he is like 3 or 4 years old. ) So there he was hands down his pants .

MOM: "Brayden, get your hands out of your pants."

Brayden: "MOM, but I found two balls down here and I am playing with them."

Just about died. Mom had to leave the room. Everyone was dying laughing. I tell ya... Some peoples kids!!!
